I am 32 year old mother of one from Glasgow. In 2002 I graduated with a BA in Consumer and management studies. In the background I have been doing hair from home for friends and family since my early teens as well as working in local afro hairdressing salons. It wasn't till early 2008 that I decided that I would go it alone and offer my skill as a service to the community and began working towards opening my own salon.

After deciding to set up a professional salon I embarked on various training courses in which I obtained various SVQ's and Habia certified qualifications in Afro and European hair dressing, extensions and weaving.
So I moved my customers from out of my living room and into a salon environment. The benefit has meant I have been able to take on more clients and offer a full service.
What makes Weaves world different?
I know there is a huge demand for safe hair extention methods that are affordable to the average woman. I felt there were not many options for women like me to go and be made to feel valued without spending a fortune. Weaving is a highly technical skill and when done properly has amazing effects on the hair, helping it grow stronger and healthier, plus it should be very comfortable to wear.
My aim with Weaves World is to bring a realistic and affordable service to Glasgow. I offer a non-intimidating, warm environment for women of all ethnicities to come and have their hair done.
I am commited to the ongoing training and development of myself and my staff to ensure that the service we offer continually improves and is always the best in this industry.
So that's my story- thanks for reading and I hope to see you soon.
Love
Ivy
