Washing

Before washing hair, brush gently with a paddle brush. De-tangle the ends then brush from the tips of the weft to the top. Make sure that you are not pulling down of your weft when brushing .
Wash hair extensions at least once a week to prevent natural oils from building up on the scalp area.
Use recommended shampoo and condition that your stylist would have advised you about.
The head should be in an upright position (i.e. in the shower) so that the hair flows in a vertical direction down the sides of the head. The water should be nice and warm.
DO NOT rub up and down but a gentle massage can be used when washing. Use your fingers to stroke the shampoo gently into the hair from the roots to the tips.
Rinse thoroughly using clean running water, gently squeeze but DO NOT rub to remove excess water.

Deep condition
Apply re-constructor using downward stroking movements from the top of the weft through to the ends leave on hair for the recommended time. Don’t be shy with the conditioner so feel free to use plenty of it
Apply conditioner; feel free to use plenty of it from the top of the weft to the tips
After washing and conditioning, wrap a towel around the hair and pat gently to remove excess water. (Do not pull on extensions).
Separate extensions at the roots before drying; de-tangle hair from the tips, working upwards with a wide toothed comb. Apply and straightening serum and heat protect such as Argan oil , then dry thoroughly with a dryer paying attention to ensure you have dried your tracks thoroughly.

Night-time
If the hair extensions are longer than 10" then place in 2 loose plait for the first couple of weeks then you can continue to detangle and put in one loose plait and secure with a covered band on the end before going to bed at night.
NEVER sleep on wet or damp extensions, the extensions should always be dry.

General
Always hold the extensions whilst brushing to avoid placing tension on the roots, never back comb the wefted area.
Brush hair and de-tangle regularly and wash the front of your natural hair frequently if the scalp gets greasy.
Electric curling tongs and hot brushes may be used, ensure that a good quality heat protect is used
6- 8 weeks is the ideal length of time to wear your weave but it can be worn for up to 3mths depending on the care given and how quickly your hair grows. After this time they should be removed for re-dress.
Visits back to the salon should be made every 4 -6 weeks for a tightening and check up
